Conservatory Roof Replacement Market Harborough
Our workshop is at Overstone Grange Farm in Moulton, around half an hour from Market Harborough up the A508. We sit just over the county line from you, and the surveyor who prices your job works alongside the fitters who build it. Nothing is passed to a subcontractor.
Market Harborough has grown quickly. The Victorian and Edwardian streets around the town centre and Little Bowden have been joined by large estates to the north and west, many of them built from the late 1990s onwards. A lot of the conservatories we are asked to look at in the town went up on those newer homes, usually a polycarbonate roof on a white uPVC frame. They tend to be fine for a few years. Then the panels yellow, the seals let in draughts and the room becomes too cold to sit in from autumn onwards and too hot by early afternoon in summer.
We replace that roof with a solid tiled one built around a custom timber frame, made to the measurements of your conservatory rather than assembled from an off the shelf aluminium kit. Timber conducts far less heat than aluminium and gives us room for a proper depth of insulation, so the finished roof reaches a U-value of 0.15 W/m2K. A ventilated void sits above the insulation and under the tiles, which keeps condensation out of the structure.
